Australia to tour SL for multi-format series

Colombo, March 25 : Australia men’s cricket team will tour Sri Lanka for an all-format series, starting June 7. The teams will play three T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests. The tour will kick off with the T20I series, followed by ODIs and Tests respectively. The games will be held in Colombo, Kandy and Galle. “We are in for some exciting cricket, especially considering that an Australian tour to Sri Lanka is taking place after 5 years, since last time they toured Sri Lanka,” said Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket. “The T20 Series will help our preparations for the T20I World Cup, whilst the Test and ODI segments are also competitions of immense value for us, as we aim to move through the ICC World Test Championship rankings and also gearing up for the ICC Men’s World Cup in 2023.” Schedule: 1st T20I – June 7 in Colombo 2nd T20I – June 8 in Colombo 3rd T20I – June 11 in Kandy 1st ODI – June 14 in Kandy 2nd ODI – June 16 in Kandy 3rd ODI – June 19 in Colombo 4th ODI – June 21 in Colombo 5th ODI – June 24 in Colombo 1st Test – June 29 in Galle 2nd Test – July 8 in Galle
