BJP’s win in Assam civic polls shows trust of people in PM: Sonowal

New Delhi, March 9 : on Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday congratulated the BJP workers over party’s stupendous performance in the M cipal elections in Assam and said it shows the trust of the people in the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre. In a series of tweets, the on Minister said, “Unstoppable victory march of BJP. The clean sweep of Assam M cipal Elections by BJP shows continued trust of the people in development initiatives of the PM Narendra Modi ji led Government. Heartiest congratulations to all karyakartas of BJP Assam for the massive win.” Extending his greetings to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and state BJP president Bhavesh Kalita, the Minister further said, “This result is a reflection of their dynamic leadership under the guidance of national president JP Nadda ji which has strengthened our grassroots.” According to the State Election Commission, the ruling BJP is leading in 548 of 977 wards, while the Congress is ahead in just 61 and others in 125 wards. It may be noted that out of 977 wards, 57 had already been declared uncontested and elections were held for 920 wards. DS GK
