Shah seeks another term for BJP

Agartala, Mar 8 : on Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday applauded Tripura’s Biplab Kumar Deb-led government for ushering in overall development within a short span of time and sought another term for the BJP to put it among the best-governed states in the country. “In this term, because of the BJP-led government’s tireless efforts Tripura has become at par with other states. and if the people vote us to power for another term in 2023, Tripura will be one of the best states in all development indicators. We shall come to seek votes before the next assembly elections by fulfilling each and every promise BJP made before the last election,” Shah said, addressing a mammoth rally ahead of the fourth anniversary of the BJP-IPFT government. In his 35-minute speech, Shah pointed out that the BJP led government in Tripura has provided clean and safe potable water to three lakh families, energy access to all the poor and marginalised sections and the state has been able to get the benefit of all the initiatives taken for the development of Northeast India by the Narendra Modi government to bridge regional disparity. With the programme coinciding with International Women’s Day, Shah announced the Tripura State Policy for Empowerment of Women under which 16 types of facilities including 33 per cent reservation for women in all government and government-supported jobs. Tripura has achieved the slogan of Atmanirbhar in letter and spirit and increased the per capita income of the people to Rs 1.30 lakh in four years time, Shah claimed. The Biplab Deb government has become the frontrunner in achieving the highest number of Covid vaccination for all the categories along with the successful implementation of all development projects and overall improvement of law and order, he stated adding that Congress had never thought of the Northeast and the Comm st government also compromised with the attitude of the then government at the centre. “Political murder was a common tradition of Tripura uring Comm st rule, but in four years the BJP government has reduced it to zero. Other crimes including atrocities on women have gone down substantially. (Chief Minister) Biplab Deb has not only stepped up measures against abuse of drugs, but has achieved huge success in this regard. And this has to be continued to save the youths of the regions from the clutches of drug and narcotics,” Shah added. BB SSP RN
