Agartala, Mar 4 : Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday directed the officials of Delhi Tripura Bhawan to arrange the domestic travel of the student from Delhi who is returning from war-torn Ukraine and he would contribute his salary for airfare. “I am indebted to the people of Tripura for their unconditional blessings and affection. As a humble token of gratitude, I have decided to contribute from my salary for the airfare for Delhi-Agartala flights for the students who are returning from Ukraine”, Deb stated on Twitter. “Instructions have been given to Tripura Bhawan, New Delhi officials to co-ordinate with the students returning from Ukraine. GoI led by PM @narendramodi Ji is committed to re te the Indian origin students with their families,” it added. Two students – Megha Trivedi and Jasmine Debbarma, both medical students of Ukraine, who returned home via Delhi, met the chief minister in his office on Thursday and expressed their gratitude for rendering help in their safe return to the homeland from the war-hit country. Tripura government has so far identified as many as 33 students stuck in Ukraine and five of them already returned to the country in the last two days and 24 others crossed the border of the war-hit region. As per the report, only three students of the state are still in Ukraine but all of them are in safe shelters. BB RN
