CESC gains on reporting marginal rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

CESC is currently trading at Rs. 93.25, up by 0.70 points or 0.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 92.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 93.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 94.45 and Rs. 93.10 respectively. So far 434756 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 102.45 on 19-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 57.50 on 19-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 94.45 and Rs. 89.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12367.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.54% and 12.35% respectively.

CESC has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2021.

The company has reported a rise of 1.10% in its net profit at Rs 184 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 182 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 1.96% at Rs 1720 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 1687 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a marginal rise of 0.59% in its net profit at Rs 340 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 338 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 4.20% at Rs 2952 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 2833 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
