Udaipur : Google I/O is an annual developer conference held by Google in San Francisco, California. I/O showcases technical in-depth sessions focused on building web, mobile, and enterprise applications with Google and open sources such as Android, Chrome and Chrome OS, APIs, Google Web Toolkit, App Engine, and more. I/O Extended events include a variety of options for developers—from live streaming sessions to local demos, hackathons, codelabs, and more. The motive is to deliver the same kind of Google I/O Experience.
I/O was inaugurated in 2008, and is organized by the executive team. “I/O” stands for input/output, as well as the slogan “Innovation in the Open”. This event’s format is similar to Google Developer Day. I/O Extended events help developers from around the world take part in the I/O experience. In 2019, developers hosted over 500 extended viewing parties and many more joined online. The programme was conducted in multiple sessions by the team of GDG. 1st session was taken by Mr. Krunal Kapadia on machine learning. 2nd session was taken by Mr. Parth Aggarwal on Flutter and Firebase. The last session ‘lightning talk’ was taken by Ms. Dolly Santer on Data analytics and big data. 80 participants form different institute had participated in google I/O extended 2009.
