67 films to be screened on Day 3 of IFFK

Thiruvananthapuram, March 19 : Sixty-seven films will be screened at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK 2022) on Sunday. Other films in competition include Emre Kais’s Turkish film Anatolian Leopard; Azerbaijan’s Sukhra & Her Sons; I’m Not the River Jhelum (Bay Chase Ne Wet) and Murina, directed by Antoneta Kuzijonovich. The Indian debuts of Murina, which chronicles the unexpected events in the life of a Brazilian girl and her father, and ‘I am not the River Jhelum,’ which portrays the life of Afeefa, a girl living in Kashmir, will be screened at Tagore Theatre at 3.30 pm. The highlight of the third day of IFFK will be the screening of the Oscar-winning Iranian film, A Hero. The French film, A Tale of Love and Desire, which tells the story of an intense love affair between Ahmed, an Algerian, and a T sian girl, Farah, will also be screened. Forty of the films being shown on Sunday come under the World Cinema category. This includes Wars, a Canadian film about a 20-year-old woman employee Emma sexually abused by her manager. Eighteen Indian films, including Pedro, directed by Natesh Hedge, will be screened. The Note and Jayaraj’s A Tree Full of Parrots will also be screened on Sunday. DS SHK1700
