Pudukottai, March 3 : Sixty one persons, including bull tamers and spectators were injured in the annual “Jallikattu” (taming of bulls) event held at Edaiyathur village here on Thursday. Official sources said as many as 807 bulls and 350 tamers took part in the day-long event. Of the 61 injured, 54 persons were treated at the Jallikattu venue by a medical team, while the remaining was admitted to Pudukottai Government Medical College Hospital and a private hospital for treatment.
