Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh government plans to create a 5G technology training initiative for youngsters as part of the Skill Development Mission. The program’s goal is to train youths in new and future employable technology.
According to the state government’s official declaration, 5G technology is the technology of the future. The state government feels that youths trained in 5G technology would be in high demand in the telecom business in the future. 5G technology will alter the entire telecom ecosystem of hardware, software, and services, which will be important for the implementation of other upcoming technologies like IoT, M2M connectivity, and edge computing.
According to the statement, the Yogi government is aiming to meet this future requirement by enabling the young to use 5G. The intended aim is for 1,000 people or more to be taught and hired via this project in eight months. Lucknow, Kanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Moradabad, Agra, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj are among the areas where the initiative is expected to begin shortly.
This curriculum, according to the proposal, can provide three courses: Telecom Rigger – 5G and Legacy Networks, Technician 5G – Active Network Installation, and Project Engineer – 5G Networks. These three courses are expected to cost more than Rs 2.8 crore. 360 individuals would be taught in 450 hours in the Telecom Rigger-5G and Legacy Networks, with each candidate receiving more than Rs 22,000, for a total investment of roughly Rs 80 lakh. Similarly, the Technician 5G course would last 570 hours and will cost more than one crore to train 360 students. According to the announcement, the Project Engineer course would take 660 hours and will cost more than 90 lakhs with 280 candidates. A five-phase framework for implementing this complete project, from training to job creation, has also been developed. First, initiatives would be done to get students to enroll in the courses.
Following this, pre- and post-enrollment counselling for youth will be provided. This will be followed by their monitoring and assessment. According to the Uttar Pradesh government, the fourth phase would give young with placement assistance, while the fifth and final phase will provide youth with support and feedback as well as mentorship.
