5 govt employees helping terrorists in J&K, sacked

Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir administration has sacked five government employees who were supporting the terrorists. The five employees against whom action has been taken are Tanveer Saleem, Syed Iftikhar Andrabi, Afaq Ahmed Wani, Irshad Ahmed Khan and Abdul Momin Peer. They are accused of helping terrorists financially as well.

According to sources, Tanveer Salim Dar joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police in 1991 and was transferred to the Auxiliary Battalion during the year 2002. Tanveer Salim Dar has always been a supporter of separatist and fundamentalist ideology. During the deployment in the auxiliary battalion, apart from repairing the weapons of the terrorists there, the work of delivering weapons to them started. He worked as an overground worker in Srinagar for the commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He also helped the suicide terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba in the murder of then MLC Javed Shala alias Javed Shah.

Syed Iftikhar Andrabi worked as an overground worker for Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen while serving as a plantation supervisor in the forest department. He played an important role in preparing the module of Narco Terrorism to finance the terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir while increasing his ties with many terrorist leaders sitting in Ghulam Kashmir. He himself was an important member of one such module. He was involved in the Narco Terrorism module caught in Handwara, North Kashmir in June 2020.

Afaq Ahmed Wani, posted as a manager in the Central Cooperative Bank at Baramulla, is also associated with the Narka Terrorism module of Lashkar and Hizbul Mujahideen caught in Handwara in June 2020. Apart from sending narcotics out of Kashmir and passing a part of their earnings to the terrorists, he also used to smuggle weapons from slave Kashmir.

Irshad Ahmed Khan, posted as a watchman in the Jalshakti Department in Baramulla, used to work to secure the terrorists from one place to another. Apart from providing safe havens to the terrorists coming from Kashmir in the hinterlands of the valley, he also helped many terrorists to go out of India.

Abdul Momin was running Pir Narkay Terror Module. He also used to arrange money for the terrorists through hawala. He visited Pakistan twice during the year 2016-17. During his visit to Pakistan, he met with several terrorist leaders besides officials of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and was active in increasing terrorist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
