Imphal, April 4 : Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said about 5.24 lakh people were covered by the health scheme Chief Minister gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT). The amount of coverage was increased to Rs 5 lakhs from Rs 2 lakhs, N Biren said addressing the media at the CM Secretariat on Monday. ASHAs were included in a health scheme launched on 21 January 2018 and was extended to 11510 Anganwadi Workers, 9958 Anganwadi Helpers and 3637 Women Vendors. The beneficiaries include 2.40 Lakh beneficiaries belonging to poor families who were left out during Socio-Economic Caste Census-2011. In the last four years, more than 83000 beneficiaries were benefited. To scale up and speed up the process of growth and development in all the 68 sub-divisions of the state, Sub-Division Development Monitoring Mission will be launched as one of the 100 Action points within 100 days programme, he added. There will be a designated Prabhari Officer for regular monitoring and competition ranking of progress among the 68 Subdivisions. Monitoring will be done on the performance of each Sub-division on a set of measurable and quantifiable parameters concerning their respective departments, he said. To stop corruption a Public Grievance Redressal and Anti-Corruption Cell was created in the Office of the Chief Minister. This Cell will function as an interface between the general public and the government. Complaints against corruption or poor service delivery received through various sources will be subject to continuous monitoring and resolution of the complaints, he said. The Cell will receive and act on complaints of corruption against Public Servants/ Public Offices, on the delivery of Public Services. He said the public can submit their complaints through multiple means including CM da Haisi platform, Phone Call, Messages, Written Complaints etc. He said the phone numbers were CM Da Haisi, 9534795347, Anti-Corruption Cell, 18003453877, Dedicated Mobile Number of Anti-Corruption Cell, 9402150000. Chief Minister will review the grievances regularly. He said it will help in creation of a corruption-free work environment, provide enhanced and prompt delivery of public services benefitting the common people. He said the Manipur government has provided support to 5772 StartUps in various categories including Idea Covid special package support provided to 4739 beneficiaries. State Government has included “Launch of Manipur Start-up 2.0 with corpus fund of Rs 100 crore” in the 100 Action Points for 100 Days of this Government. He said the “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” campaign, which was launched recently rainwater harvesting methods would be set up in all offices, institutions and schools to conserve water. Instructions had also been given to officials concerned to start work for conserving wetlands so as to mitigate environmental degradation, he stated. He informed that steps would be initiated to take action against illegal construction carried out on paddy land after 2014 to preserve and save agricultural land. Zila Parishads, Pradhans and official concerns had been informed on the matter. Stating that making out a long-term plan for at least 50 years from now, the State Cabinet had decided to widen State Highways, District Highways and Inter-Village Roads. He appealed to the public to support and cooperate in such an initiative considering its necessity. Stressing on the development of catchment areas, he stated that a meeting consisting of MLAs of hill districts, Autonomous District Councils and Bureaucrats would be held to take steps for the same. He was also hopeful that deforestation carried out for shifting cultivation would become lesser with the initiatives of the State Government to provide means of livelihood for every household. NS ARN
