New Delhi: Ahead of Republic Day, 31 officers and staff members of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been honoured nationally for their exemplary, dedicated, and commendable service. These distinguished personnel received the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
The awards recognise their significant contributions towards the country’s internal security, anti-corruption efforts, investigation of economic offences, and administrative efficiency.
President’s Police Medal Recipients
This year, six officers were awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service. Among them are Zone Chief Chandrashekhar Venupullai (IPS) of the Delhi Zone, SP (Admin) Amit Srivastava from CBI Headquarters, Additional Superintendent of Police Mukesh Sharma from SC-III New Delhi, Sub-Inspector Pramod Kumar Yati from Kolkata Special Unit, Assistant Sub-Inspector Chaman Lal of the CBI Academy in Ghaziabad, and Head Constable Amu Golla from Hyderabad ACB. These officers have demonstrated exceptional professional skills, integrity, and leadership in their respective domains.
Police Medal for Meritorious Service Awardees
In addition, 25 officers and staff received the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. This group includes IPS officers, Deputy and Additional Superintendents of Police, Inspectors, technical and administrative personnel, and field staff from various zones, branches, and units. Notable awardees include Zone Chief Venkat Subba Reddy Chinnakondu (IPS) from the SC Zone, Deputy Inspector General Sadanand Shankarrao Date of Mumbai ACB, Deputy Legal Advisor Manmohan Sharma of New Delhi ACB, along with several others serving across the country in key CBI offices.
Recognition Across All Levels
The awards also acknowledge the dedication and discipline of technical and support staff such as programmers, office superintendents, head constables, and constables. Their continuous service underscores the vital role played by personnel at every level in the organisation’s success.
The CBI leadership congratulated all the awardees, stating that these honours not only recognise individual achievements but also reflect the collective commitment, professional values, and spirit of national service within the organisation.
