
Kolkata, May 23: The 19th National Employment Fair was successfully held across the country on Saturday. At the Dr. B.C. Roy Auditorium in Sealdah, Kolkata, 188 candidates received their appointment letters. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar were present along with senior railway officials.
During the event, Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar stated that the fair was organized by the Indian government without any corruption or bias. He emphasized that these new employees, referred to as ‘Karmayogis,’ will contribute significantly in the future.
Milind Devuskar, General Manager of Eastern Railway, mentioned the growing need for employees as the railway network expands. He noted that appointment letters were distributed across various departments within the Eastern Railway.
Kaushik Singh, a resident of Kolkata, expressed his excitement about being appointed as a Junior Engineer in the Electrical Department of the railway. He described this opportunity as a new beginning and thanked Eastern Railway for the chance.
Tamal Pal, another successful candidate from Navdeep, shared his joy at being selected as an Assistant Loco Pilot in the Sealdah division. He expressed his happiness about the selection.
Ajay Yadav, who was chosen for the SNT department, conveyed his gratitude to the railway. Rahul Bhagat, selected as a Junior Executive at AAI, remarked that the employment fair clearly indicates which candidates are going where, and he had a very positive experience.
Khushdil Yaseen, also selected as a Junior Executive at AAI, praised the initiative by the Prime Minister. He noted that receiving appointment letters in the presence of senior officials serves as a great inspiration for the youth.
