
Beijing, February 19: The 16th Global Exhibition of Overseas Chinese Bookstores was recently held, as reported by the National Press and Publication Administration of China. This event showcased over 100 Chinese bookstores located in more than 40 countries and regions worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Tunisia, and Australia.
During the exhibition, participating bookstores focused on displaying and selling works by Chinese President Xi Jinping, along with related study materials. They presented high-quality publications that explained key decisions and initiatives of the Chinese Communist Party and the state, highlighting the achievements of the new era and their global significance.
Additionally, books themed around the Chinese Spring Festival, popular academic works, original children’s books, and textbooks for learning the Chinese language were also featured.
For international readers, various exchange activities were organized, including an essay competition titled “My Story with the Spring Festival,” an “Art Week of Famous Writers,” and “Stories Connect the World.” Interactive and experiential activities, such as writing couplets for the Spring Festival and guessing lantern riddles, were also conducted, providing people from different countries with a direct experience of the cultural allure of the Spring Festival.
