
Beijing, June 4: The Shanghai Municipal Government’s Information Office announced during a press conference that the 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair will take place from June 11 to 13 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
Preparations for the fair are nearly complete. This year, 1,006 enterprises will participate, showcasing 15 new technologies and products for the first time.
The fair will feature a theme hall, four specialized technical exhibition areas, and an innovation and business service zone. The total exhibition area spans 38,000 square meters, highlighting innovations from 22 countries and regions, as well as 24 provinces and regions in China.
In addition to the opening ceremony, three themed days focusing on cities, international organizations, and intellectual property will be held. Over 40 promotional and business activities are also planned.
The exhibition areas will concentrate on new industries and emerging technologies. The digital technology sector will showcase cutting-edge innovations such as AI, large language models, commercial cryptography, industrial internet, and smart port technologies.
The green technology sector will emphasize green fuels, energy storage and transportation, agricultural technology, and environmentally friendly innovations. The marine technology sector will display smart ships, marine engineering equipment, and maritime communication technologies.
Moreover, the consumer and health technology sector will present new technologies and products related to smart homes, brain-computer interfaces, rehabilitation, and elder care.
According to officials, the fair will feature 236 high-tech enterprises, innovation-driven companies, and “gazelle enterprises.” Many significant technologies and innovations related to leading, emerging, and future industries will be presented, including 15 new technologies and products making their global debut.
