Vibrant Celebrations at Mahi Mahotsav: Meditation Camp Draws Overwhelming Response
Banswara, January 28, 2025: The ongoing Mahi Mahotsav, a four-day cultural extravaganza in Banswara, witnessed an enthusiastic response on its second day with a meditation camp organized jointly by the District Administration and Heartfulness Institution – Marg Meditation at the Banswara Police Line. Participants from urban and rural areas joined the session to experience inner peace and harmony through guided meditation techniques.

A Day of Mindfulness and Community Engagement
The meditation session was attended by over 2,000 participants, including District Collector Dr. Indrajeet Yadav, who participated alongside his spouse. The event commenced with a video demonstration of innovations in Heartfulness meditation, guided by the Global Guide, Pujya Daaji, from Kanha Shantivanam, Hyderabad.
Participants practiced a 20-minute meditation session, sharing their personal experiences of tranquility and relaxation. The Brighter Minds Program coordinators presented interactive demonstrations of meditation techniques, leaving the audience intrigued.
Promoting a Balanced Lifestyle Through Meditation
Addressing the gathering, District Collector Dr. Indrajeet Yadav highlighted the role of meditation in enhancing mental and physical well-being.
“In today’s fast-paced life, meditation serves as a vital tool for achieving balance and improving personal and communal development. Incorporating meditation into daily routines can help control stress and foster holistic personality growth,” he remarked.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Dr. Rajesh Bharadwaj, emphasized meditation’s transformative benefits, urging participants to integrate mindfulness into their lives for achieving personal and professional success.
Launch of Ekatma Campaign
The event also marked the launch of the Ekatma Campaign in Banswara. Former Minister Dhansingh Rawat, District Collector Dr. Yadav, and other dignitaries unveiled a banner, initiating efforts to promote yoga, meditation, health awareness, and environmental consciousness across villages in the district.
Exceptional Performances by Brighter Minds Participants
A highlight of the event was the astounding demonstrations by Brighter Minds participants. Guided by trainers Tina Purohit and Vijeta Bhatt, children like Sahaj Bhatt, Bhashya Joshi, and Raagvi performed brain exercises, identifying colors blindfolded and showcasing remarkable cognitive abilities. The audience applauded the young talents and their trainers for their innovative approach to learning and mental agility.
Meditation for All: Weekly Sessions in Banswara
The Heartfulness Institution continues to provide meditation opportunities in Banswara through regular sessions:
- Sunday Mornings: 7:30–8:30 AM at Aryan Public School, Housing Board.
- Wednesday Evenings: 5:30–6:00 PM at Aryan Public School.
- Daily Sessions: 6:30–7:00 AM at Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Bharadwaj’s residence.
