Tribal Tourist Circuit and Increased TSP Fund to Boost Development in Tribal Regions: MP Mannalal Rawat
Udaipur, February 19, 2025 Member of Parliament, Dr. Mannalal Rawat, has welcomed the Rajasthan Budget 2025-26, highlighting its strong focus on tribal development. Expressing his appreciation for the announcement of a Tribal Tourist Circuit, he emphasized that this initiative would not only enhance tourism in tribal areas but also generate employment opportunities and uplift local communities.
A Budget for Holistic Development
MP Rawat hailed the Rajasthan government’s budget as inclusive and visionary, ensuring benefits reach every section of society. He lauded the state’s alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a Developed India 2047, calling the budget a “Green Budget” with long-term benefits for sustainable development.
One of the key highlights of the budget is the allocation of ₹100 crore for the Tribal Tourist Circuit, which aims to develop historical, religious, and eco-tourism sites in tribal regions. The circuit will include:
- Tripura Sundari Temple (Banswara district)
- Mangarh Dham
- Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary (Pratapgarh district)
- Rishabhdev Temple (Udaipur district)
- Gotameshwar Temple (Pratapgarh district)
- Matri Kundiya Temple (Chittorgarh district)
TSP Fund Increased to ₹1,750 Crore
MP Rawat also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for increasing the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) Fund to ₹1,750 crore. This boost in funding will provide critical support for education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development in tribal regions.
Key Budget Announcements for Rajasthan’s Development
The Rajasthan Budget 2025-26 includes several initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth, tourism, and tribal empowerment:
Free Electricity & Solar Power Initiative Phased distribution of solar plants for beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Free Electricity Scheme, along with 150 units of free electricity per month.
Cultural and Religious Tourism ₹600 crore allocated for the beautification and decoration of 600 temples during major festivals like Diwali, Holi, and Ram Navami.
Promotion of Rural Tourism Ten villages to be developed as rural tourism hubs, promoting sustainable and cultural tourism.
Development of Religious Sites Triveni Sangam (Beneshwar Dham), Rameshwar Ghat, and Bigod Sangam to be transformed into major religious tourism destinations.
Vedic Learning and Tourism Hub in Udaipur Establishment of a Vedic Gurukul and Vedic Tourism Center to promote ancient Indian knowledge systems and attract scholars from across the country.
