May 5, 2025 — New Delhi — Tata Motors has officially teased the interior of the upcoming Altroz Facelift, ahead of its highly anticipated debut on May 22, 2025. The premium hatchback is set to receive a significant overhaul inside and out, with upgraded tech, enhanced comfort, and a fresh design language that aligns it with Tata’s latest lineup.

All-New Cabin with Dual 10.25-inch Screens
One of the biggest highlights in the Altroz Facelift is the introduction of Tata’s latest infotainment system, first seen on the Nexon facelift. Though the exact size has not been confirmed, both the infotainment screen and the digital instrument cluster are expected to measure 10.25 inches, providing a more immersive and modern user experience.
The dashboard retains its basic layout but appears thoroughly modernized, featuring a floating touchscreen, soft-touch materials, and an upgraded user interface.
Redesigned Seats and Premium Interior Touches
While the black and beige theme continues from the outgoing model, the facelift brings in wider, more supportive seats, now featuring a two-tone beige finish for a more upmarket feel. The seating ergonomics have reportedly been improved, likely enhancing long-distance comfort.
The teaser also hints at other high-end features including:
-
360-degree camera
-
Sunroof
-
Digital steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo
Updated Exterior: Bold and Futuristic
The Tata Altroz facelift carries forward the brand’s evolving “Digital Design Language”, resembling updates seen on the Harrier and Safari facelifts. Key exterior upgrades include:
-
Twin LED headlamps with double-barrel LED DRLs
-
Revised front bumper with larger air intakes
-
Connected LED tail-lamps via a sleek rear LED strip
-
Flush door handles, a first in the premium hatchback segment
These design changes aim to position the Altroz facelift as one of the most stylish hatchbacks in its class.
Powertrain: No Changes Expected
Under the hood, the Altroz facelift is expected to continue with its current engine options:
-
1.2L naturally aspirated petrol
-
1.2L turbocharged petrol
-
1.2L petrol-CNG bi-fuel with twin-cylinder technology
-
1.5L turbo diesel (currently the only diesel hatchback on sale in India)
Transmission choices will likely remain unchanged, with both manual and DCT options depending on the variant and fuel type.
Launch and Market Positioning
The Tata Altroz facelift will be launched on May 22, 2025, and is expected to further strengthen Tata’s position in the premium hatchback space, taking on rivals like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno, and Toyota Glanza.
With its blend of advanced tech, fresh styling, and multiple fuel options, the new Altroz could become an even more appealing choice for urban buyers.
