Multiple people dead in shooting at Christchurch mosque in New Zealand

Local media reported up to six people were dead, and the South Island city was placed in lockdown as police hunted for an “active shooter”. The accident occurred when a jeep heading towards Duhun from district headquarters Khalanga fell 500 meters down into the Mahakali River. All 11 passengers including seven women, three men and a child died on the spot. The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the District Hospital.
