Jaipur, February 19 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Jaipur has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, rain, and hailstorms in 10 districts of Rajasthan due to an active Western Disturbance. The impact will be most visible on Wednesday, with similar weather conditions expected on February 20. However, starting February 21, dry conditions will return, leading to a gradual rise in temperatures.

According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, an anti-cyclonic circulation has developed over Rajasthan, triggering weather changes across the state. On Tuesday, several cities, including Jaipur, experienced light rainfall, resulting in a drop in daytime temperatures in regions such as Jodhpur, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Kota, and Ajmer divisions.

In the past 24 hours, the highest recorded temperature was 33.8°C in Barmer. Other key temperature readings include:

  • Jalore: 33.5°C
  • Pratapgarh & Phalodi: 32.2°C

  • Chittorgarh: 32.6°C
  • Udaipur: 32.0°C

Rainfall & Storm Impact in Various Districts

On Wednesday morning, cloud cover was observed over the northeastern and western districts of Rajasthan. Light showers and drizzles were reported in Tonk, Jaipur, Sikar, Churu, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, and Dausa. As the day progressed, clear skies and sunshine returned, but mild winds led to a drop in temperature.
