Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju has sent his wishes for the Indian cricket team that is set to play the semi-finals of the cricket World Cup in the UK, next week. C K Khanna, acting President of the Board of Cricket Control in India, called on the Sports Minister on Thursday morning and received the letter addressed to head coach Ravi Shastri, Captain Virat Kohli and all team members of the Indian side.
Praising the team for its great run in this World Cup so far, Shri. Rijiju wrote, “The whole nation is inspired by your team’s performance. Your passion, skills, togetherness and sportsmanship have been commendable throughout all the matches.” He wished them the best for the semi-finals, and added, “A billion cheers galore as you go into play in the semi-finals, hoping that this success continues through to the final, and you bring home the World Cup.”
