Udaipur : The College of Dairy and Food Science Technology (CDFST) of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) has entered into an MoU with Nestle India for a unique skill enhancing programme ‘N-Reach’ for its students. CDFST is the first institution to organise a workshop under the program which aims to enhance the soft skills of the students and make them ‘industry ready’ for future placements. “N-Reach is aimed at enabling the final year students pursuing food technology to be more prepared in terms of the challenges which they will face daily on entering the professional world.
Soft skills have always been an integral key to success and we are glad that N-Reach program recognizes the importance of the same. We hope that our students get more of such opportunities in the near future” Prof UmaShankar Sharma, vice chancellor MPUAT told Udaipur Kiran. The program was a four-day workshop which focussed on leadership development, emotional intelligence, accountability and people management. ” The participating students were given a case study at the end of the workshop and certificates were awarded on the successful completion of the training. Such workshops would be regularly held under the MoU” Lalit Murdia, Dean CDFST said.
” The program is specifically focussed on soft skill enhancement of the students to bring them a step closer to success. We are conducting this program with National Dairy Research Institute at Karnal too and if we get a positive response, more institutions across the country would be included so as to benefit the students in the field of food and dairy science processing” Suresh Narayanan, Country head of Nestle India said. The program is conducted by experienced trainers which incorporates sessions facilitated by a mix of alumni of the institute as well as a team of external trainers.
