Moradabad, January 16 : The chilling cold wave in Uttar Pradesh has claimed the lives of two elderly members of the same family in the Kundarki area of Moradabad district. Within a span of just 24 hours, a devar (brother-in-law) and bhabhi (sister-in-law) succumbed to the cold, leaving the entire neighborhood of Mohalla Nurulla in mourning.
The tragedy struck the family of Sunehari Lal, a Nagar Panchayat employee. On Wednesday afternoon, his elderly aunt, Nekwati (65), passed away around 12 PM. However, the family was still reeling from this loss when, on Thursday morning at 11 AM, Sunehari Lal’s father, Ramgulam Diwakar (68), also passed away. His final rites were conducted on Thursday afternoon.
