Guwahati, June 16, 2025 – The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), has officially declared the HSLC Compartment Result 2025 today. Students who appeared in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) supplementary examination held in May can now check their results online via sebaonline.org and results.assam.nic.in.
This announcement comes as a crucial update for students who failed one or two subjects in the main board exams and were granted a second opportunity through this compartment examination.
When and Why the Exam Was Held
The SEBA HSLC Compartmental Exam 2025 was conducted from May 23 to May 29, 2025. It served as a lifeline for students unable to clear all subjects in the main HSLC exam declared in April. This system allows eligible students to avoid losing an academic year by giving them another chance to qualify.
Now that the results are out, students who have successfully passed the compartmental exam can move forward and apply for Class 11 admissions in streams like Science, Commerce, or Arts.

Collection of Original Mark Sheets and Certificates
Even though results are accessible online, students are required to collect their original mark sheets and pass certificates from their respective schools. SEBA will dispatch these official documents to schools soon after result declaration.
Passing Criteria and Grading System
According to SEBA’s rules, a minimum of 33% marks is required in each subject (theory and practical combined) to pass. The board uses a division-based grading system rather than individual grade points:
Distinction: 400 marks and above
First Division: 300–399 marks
Second Division: 200–299 marks
Third Division: 150–199 marks
Students who score below 150 marks are considered to have failed and must reappear in future exams.
