Republic Day Celebrations in Rajasthan: Udaipur Hosts State-Level Event
Jaipur, January 26: Rajasthan celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor across the state. The air resonated with the sounds of patriotic songs and slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai”. The state-level celebration was held at Gandhi Ground in Udaipur, where Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde hoisted the national flag, accompanied by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, several ministers, and dignitaries.
Flag Hoisting Ceremonies Across the State
In Udaipur, the Circuit House witnessed another flag-hoisting ceremony by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, emphasizing the importance of unity and constitutional values.

At the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office, PCC President Govind Singh Dotasra hoisted the flag, while Deputy CM Diya Kumari led the celebrations at Badi Chaupar, highlighting the pride in India’s Constitution. Dotasra also paid homage to Baba Saheb Ambedkar, praising his contribution to the Constitution. - Jodhpur:
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel unfurled the national flag at the Umaid Stadium, marking the occasion with grandeur. - Sikar:
Urban Development and Housing Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra led the district-level celebrations, which included a march-past and cultural performances. - Bharatpur:
Deputy CM Premchand Bairwa hoisted the flag at the Police Parade Ground. The event featured a police band performance, inspection of the parade, and the saluting of marching contingents. Sixty-six individuals, including officers, volunteers, and athletes, were honored for their contributions.
Cultural Extravaganza in Udaipur
The celebrations in Udaipur extended into the evening with an ‘At Home’ event at Saheliyon Ki Bari, attended by the Governor and Chief Minister. Individuals excelling in art, literature, and public service were recognized for their achievements.
A highlight of the celebrations was the drone and laser light show at Fatehsagar Lake, which depicted breathtaking images of Maharana Pratap and Ekling Ji in the night sky, leaving the audience mesmerized.
