Professor Commits Suicide in Udaipur Engineering College: Leaves Behind Suicide Note
Udaipur, January 16 : A tragic incident unfolded this morning at Maharana Pratap University in Udaipur, where a professor allegedly committed suicide in his office. The body of Professor Naveen Chaudhary (54), from the Department of Computer Science at the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE), was found hanging.

Incident Details
According to Station Officer Bharat Yogi from Pratapnagar Police Station, Professor Chaudhary arrived at the college at 9 AM and marked his attendance in the register, a routine he followed daily. Contrary to his usual habit of interacting with the Head of Department (HOD) and colleagues, he directly went to his office without speaking to anyone.
When the HOD later inquired about his whereabouts, staff members went to call him and discovered his body hanging in the office. They alerted the entire staff and informed the police immediately.
Suicide Note Found
Upon reaching the scene, the police discovered a suicide note left by Professor Chaudhary. Preliminary information suggests that he had been suffering from a prolonged illness, which may have led to this drastic step. The note and other evidence are currently under examination.
The body has been sent to Maharana Bhupal (MB) Hospital for post-mortem, and further investigations are underway.
