PM Modi will be on a hectic two-day tour of Uttar Pradesh, during which he will visit three districts of Varanasi, Azamgarh and Mirzapur and inaugurate development projects in the state.
He will first visit Azamgarh, where he will lay the foundation of the Purvanchal Expressway.
Purvanchal Expressway starts in Lucknow covering 340 km to Ghazipur. The 6-lane expressway will connect Lucknow, to Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur districts.
The expressway will help in the socio-economic development of Purvanchal. The Prime Minister will also address a large public rally in Azamgarh. This will be the first visit of PM Modi to Azamgarh after becoming the Prime Minister and tight security arrangements have been put in place.
After Azamgarh, Prime Minister will visit his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi where he will dedicate or lay the foundation stone of important projects worth Rs. 1,000 crore.
Among them is a Perishable Cargo Center at Rajatalab, Gas Distribution Project, 4 Drinking Water Projects and many new roads. PM Modi will launch a Memu passenger train from Rajatalab to Varanasi via Ballia.
Prime Minister will lay the foundation of the Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg as well as projects under Smart City and Namami Ganga programs. Prime Minister will also lay the Foundation Stone for an International Convention Centre in Varanasi. The people of the area will benefit greatly from these projects.
PM Modi will also hold a meeting with intellectuals and party workers. He will stay at Varanasi on July 14.
On July 15, PM Modi will visit Mirzapur where he will dedicate the Bansagar Nagar Dam project to the nation. This irrigation project will greatly benefit farmers of the area. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Mirzapur Medical College and also inaugurate 108 janaushadhi Kendras. Prime Minister will also inaugurate a bridge on river Ganga in Balaraghat, Chunar, which will facilitate better connectivity between Mirzapur and Varanasi.
The Prime Minister’s visit to these three districts is aimed at rapid development not only of the districts but of the state as a whole.
