PM Modi interacts with beneficiaries of regularization of unauthorized colonies in Delhi

A delegation of over 200 people, including BJP MPs from Delhi met the Prime Minister to thank him for the decision to provide ownership rights of properties to residents of unauthorised colonies in the city.

Prime minister began on an emotional note recalling the difficult days of refugee communities that were spent growing up in unauthorized colonies.

He said that efforts to right wrong were made in the past, but they were half hearted ones motivated by vote bank politics

The Union Cabinet last month approved a proposal to grant ownership rights to people living in 1,797 unauthorised colonies in Delhi, a move that is estimated to benefit 40 lakh people in the city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this historic decision was driven by the sabka saath sabka vikas mantra.

He added that the best example of misgovernance leading to uncertainity and bad policy making was Article 370.

This threw thousands of people into a flux, not knowing what the future held for them.

Prime Minister Modi said that it was his good fortune that his govt led to the rewriting of this wrong.
Prime Minister said that the decisive policies and actions of the Modi government has led to transformation of millions of lives by removing fear of the unkown from the lives of the common man.
