Prime Minister, Narendra Modi visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi on Friday where he laid the Foundation Stone of the National Centre for Aging at AIIMS. This will provide the elder population with multi-speciality healthcare. The centre will have 200 general ward beds.
PM Modi also inaugurated the 300-bed PowerGrid Vishram Sadan in AIIMS. The Motorable tunnel connecting AIIMS to the Trauma Centre also thrown open.
During the same event, the Prime Minister dedicated the 555-bed Super Speciality Block in Safdarjung Hospital. He also dedicated the 500-bed New Emergency Block in Safdarjung Hospital.
More than 8000 patients visit OPD at Safdarjung Hospital every day and thousands consult doctors in the emergency unit.
