PM Kisan Yojana

The wait for crores of small and marginal farmers across India is almost over. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN), the 20th installment of ₹2,000 is expected to be credited directly to eligible farmers’ bank accounts by July 26, 2025. This timely support from the government is aimed at providing financial relief ahead of the Kharif crop season.

What is PM-KISAN?

The PM Kisan Yojana is a government-backed initiative that provides ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each to eligible landholding farmers. The money is directly transferred to the farmers’ bank accounts every four months to help cover essential agricultural expenses like seeds, fertilizers, and equipment.

Who Will Receive the 20th Installment?

Over 12 crore farmers are registered under PM-KISAN. However, only those who have completed mandatory processes like e-KYC and land ownership verification will receive the 20th installment.

If you have:

  • Linked your Aadhaar with your bank account

  • Completed e-KYC through the PM-KISAN portal or Common Service Centre

  • Verified your land records with local authorities

You are eligible to receive the ₹2,000 payment in July 2025.

Important Reminder: e-KYC and Land Verification Are a Must

Farmers who missed out on previous payments—such as the 19th installment paid on February 24, 2025—often did so because of pending e-KYC or land record issues. Authorities have reiterated that failure to complete these steps will result in delayed or withheld funds.

To check your status:

  • Visit the official PM-KISAN website

  • Click on “Beneficiary Status”

  • Enter your Aadhaar number or account details

  • Complete or update e-KYC if needed

Total Benefit So Far

With the release of the 20th installment, a total of ₹38,000 would have been disbursed to each eligible farmer since the scheme’s inception. This consistent financial aid has helped millions of families manage agricultural costs and household needs, especially in rural India.

Final Words

Though the official announcement is yet to be published by the Ministry of Agriculture, sources indicate July 26, 2025, as the expected release date for the 20th installment. Farmers are advised to ensure their bank details, Aadhaar linkage, and e-KYC are all updated well before this date to avoid payment delays.
