India remains an agricultural nation at heart, with the livelihoods of over 90% of the population still linked to farming. To support these hardworking farmers, both the Government of India and various state governments have introduced numerous welfare schemes — and one of the most impactful is the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN).

This visionary program continues to provide crucial financial support to small and marginal farmers across the country — and for farmers in Madhya Pradesh, an additional benefit makes this scheme even more rewarding.

What Is PM Kisan Yojana?

Under PM Kisan Yojana, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, directly transferred to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each, paid every four months. The aim is to help farmers cover essential agricultural costs — such as seeds, fertilizers, and other inputs — without facing financial strain, thereby boosting their productivity and income.

Double Benefit for Madhya Pradesh Farmers

While farmers across India benefit from ₹6,000 annually, those in Madhya Pradesh enjoy a double benefit, thanks to the state government’s Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana.

Here’s how it works:

  • ₹2,000 installment from the Central Government (PM-KISAN)

  • ₹2,000 additional installment from the Madhya Pradesh Government (CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana)

This means that MP farmers now receive ₹4,000 every quarter, adding up to ₹12,000 annuallydouble the amount available to farmers in other states.

This initiative is helping transform the agricultural landscape of Madhya Pradesh by improving farmers’ financial security and encouraging greater agricultural productivity.

PM Kisan 20th Installment — Expected Release Date

So far, 19 installments have been successfully disbursed under the PM Kisan Yojana. Now, millions of farmers across India are eagerly awaiting the 20th installment.

According to sources, the 20th installment is likely to be released during the third or fourth week of June 2025 — possibly as soon as June 20. There is speculation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may personally release this next installment, although no official date has been confirmed yet.

One thing is certain: the much-anticipated funds will soon be credited to farmers’ accounts, providing timely financial support for the upcoming Kharif season.

For farmers — especially in Madhya Pradesh — these combined government efforts represent a significant opportunity to strengthen their income and reduce financial uncertainty in the agricultural sector.
