Pakistan: Imran calls to participate in PTI’s March 27 power show

Islamabad, March 24 : Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday called upon the entire nation to participate in the power show organised by the PTI on March 27 at Islamabad’s Parade Ground, Dawn reported. Khan called upon the people to join him in “standing against evil”. He accused the opposition of brazenly looting the country for the past 30 years and indulging in corruption and called them a gang of thieves. He said that this “gang” had come together and put a price on the “conscience” of public representatives, and that is why they were trying to buy these public representatives to vote against him, with the looted money. Khan’s message came as his government is preparing to the face of the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition and has been scrambling to get the numbers on its side in the face of its allies abandoning it and joining the opposition camp. National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has summoned the session of the lower house to deliberate on the opposition’s no-confidence resolution against Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday at 11am. Despite this Imran Khan tried to exude confidence and predicted that he would prevail over the opposition’s no-confidence move and would end up having the last laugh, claiming that he still held a “trump card” that would be revealed at the right time.
