ONGC surges on reporting over 3-fold jump in Q2 consolidated net profit

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 157.65, up by 3.00 points or 1.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 154.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 157.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 162.15 and Rs. 156.55 respectively. So far 1869868 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 172.80 on 06-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 70.05 on 13-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 162.15 and Rs. 151.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 197761.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.95% and 13.64% respectively.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2021.

The company has reported around 7-fold in its net profit at Rs 18,347.73 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2,757.77 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 43.58% at Rs 27,500.14 crore for Q2FY22 as compared Rs 19,152.94 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported over 3-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 18,749.17 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 5,674.88 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 44.25% at Rs 123,444.95 crore for Q2FY22 as compared Rs 85,578.19 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
