San Francisco, January 30 After a long wait, Netflix has finally introduced a new feature for iPhone and iPad users, allowing them to download an entire TV season in one go. This update, which was first launched for Android users in 2021, significantly streamlines the offline viewing experience for Apple device owners.
Netflix’s iOS App Gets a Major Upgrade
Previously, iPhone and iPad users had to download each episode individually, making the process tedious and time-consuming. Now, with this new update, Netflix allows users to download full seasons with a single tap.
Netflix, in a blog post, confirmed that users can now access the Download button next to the Share option on a show’s display page. This upgrade will make it easier to store and manage TV episodes in the My Downloads section, found under the My Profile tab at the bottom right corner of the app’s home screen.
How to Download a Full TV Season on Netflix (iPhone & iPad)
To use this new feature, follow these simple steps:
1️⃣ Update your Netflix app to the latest version on your iPhone or iPad.
2️⃣ Open the Netflix app and navigate to the TV show you want to download.
3️⃣ Select the season you wish to download using the drop-down box above the episode list.
4️⃣ Tap the “Download Season [season number]” button, which appears next to Share and Rate options.
5️⃣ Alternatively, tap the Download button under the Play button in the season’s trailer section to download the full season.
Previously, the Download button only allowed episode-by-episode downloads, but this update simplifies the process significantly.
Netflix Rolls Out Feature Amidst Global Price Hikes
This highly requested feature arrives shortly after Netflix increased its subscription prices in several countries, including the U.S., Canada, Argentina, and Portugal. However, Netflix’s pricing in India remains unchanged.
