The delegation entered Bangladesh through Dawki border on Tuesday. The CM led delegation visited Sylhet on Tuesday before reaching Dhaka on Wednesday. In Sylhet he attended a business meeting hosted by the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce, to discuss business and trade exchange between India and Bangladesh.
In Dhaka Chief Minister Sangma had a meeting with Commerce Minister of Bangladesh Tipu Munshi today. Sangma said in a tweet that meeting with the Bangladesh Minister was held to chalk out and identify key sectors for promotion of trade and commerce between the two countries.
The road trip intends to enhance trade, tourism and cooperation in power sector, and agriculture between Meghalaya and Bangladesh.
