Ajmer, January 17 In preparation for the grand Mahakumbh Mela 2025, the Indian Railways has announced the launch of special train services to cater to the massive influx of pilgrims and travelers. The services include the Sabarmati-Banaras Mela Special (Train No. 09421/09422) and the Udaipur City-Dhanbad Special (Train No. 09609/09610). These trains will commence operations starting January 19, ensuring seamless connectivity to key pilgrimage destinations.

Sabarmati-Banaras Mela Special (Train No. 09421/09422)

This train service will operate three trips on a specific schedule:

  • Outbound Journey:
    • Train No. 09421 will depart from Sabarmati at 10:25 AM on January 19, 23, and 26, 2025, arriving in Banaras the next day at 2:45 PM.
  • Return Journey:
    • Train No. 09422 will depart from Banaras at 7:30 PM on January 20, 24, and 27, 2025, arriving in Sabarmati the following midnight at 1:25 AM.

Route and Halts:
The train will halt at key stations, including Gandhinagar Capital, Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Pindwara, Falna, Rani, Marwar Junction, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Bandikui, Bharatpur, Agra Fort, Tundla, Etawah, Govindpuri, Fatehpur, Prayagraj, and Gyanpur Road.

Udaipur City-Dhanbad Special (Train No. 09609/09610)

This special service will operate as a single trip, providing essential connectivity for pilgrims.

  • Outbound Journey:
    • Train No. 09609 will depart from Udaipur City on January 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, reaching Dhanbad the next day at 9:00 PM.
  • Return Journey:
    • Train No. 09610 will leave Dhanbad on January 21, 2025, at 11:00 PM, arriving in Udaipur City on the third day at 9:40 AM.

Route and Halts:
The train will stop at major stations such as Rana Pratapnagar, Mavli, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Bandikui, Bharatpur, Agra Fort, Tundla, Etawah, Govindpuri, Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Bhabua Road, Sasaram, Dehri On Sone, Gaya, Koderma, Hazaribagh Road, Parasnath, and Gomoh.
