Udaipur : An FIR has been registered against education minister Kiran Maheshwari, MLSU Vice Chancellor and others on Wednesday at the Pratapnagar Police station here. The complainant Jitendra Kumar Khatik, a resident of Kumariya Kheda village in Nathdwara, Rajsamand held in his plaint that he was student of the LLM final year and had appeared continously in the legal theory paper in 2016 and 2017.
Khatik said that due to a previous dispute and ongoing criminal case between him against one Shyamlal Sanwariya, a member of the Rajsamand Jila Parishad regarding fraudulent degrees attained from Chattisgarh, the minister was infuriated with the complainant and had on many occasions threatened him through her men that he wouldnt be able to clear any examination or attain any degree. Khatik said that Sanwariya had warned him that Maheshwari being one of the member of the Board of Management (BOM) of the Mohanlal Sukhadia University was on an influential position and hence wouldnt let him pass in the papers or get any degree.
Khatik who also had included the unknown copy checkers in the complaint said that all the accused had connived and conspired against him by intentionally not letting him clear the papers. The complaint has been registered under sections 420,467, 468, 120 (B) of the IPC. Maheshwari being a minister, the police has forwarded the FIR to the crime branch of the police headquarters.
