Krishi Seva Kendra inaugurated at Rampura Agucha under Hindustan Zinc’s flagship project Samadhan.

Udaipur : Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company, India’s only and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc-lead-silver producer, organised Krishi Seva Kendra (Farmer Producer Organization Input shop) at Rampura Agucha village in the Bhilwara district as part of its flagship Samadhan programme. The Krishi Seva Kendra was inaugurated by Chief guest – Joint Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Bhilwara Dr.DurgalalRegarin the presence of Agucha IBU CEO- Kishore Kumar.

More than 200 farmers participated in the event wherein they discussed briefly about farming activities. The Krishi Seva Kendra will help to provide the farmer shareholders with agricultural input such as seeds, insecticides, fertilizers, equipment, livestock feed and fodder. The FPO input shop will benefit farmers from 30 villages of Agucha location having 1015 farmer shareholders from 49 Farmer Interest Groups.

Additionally, it will be responsible for providing complete support to farmers with end-to-end services covering almost all aspects of cultivation from inputs, technical services to processing and marketing. The Krishi Seva Kendra will additionally support the farmers as a One-Stop-Solution store where the farmers gain awareness of agricultural and livestock Government schemes and get registered under the same.

Samadhan, a Hindustan Zinc’s flagship CSR project, focuses on sustainable agricultural and livestock interventions through community participation and making agriculture aspirational. The Samadhan programme is touching the lives of over 30,000 farmers. Of these, 4,300 female farmers are receiving guidance on different agricultural interventions, while another 5,000 have received training on improved agricultural and animal husbandry practices. Furthermore, 10,000 farmers were offered training and capacity-building on improved agriculture practices. Also, 13,838 farmers have received assistance for the use of high-tech vegetable cultivation, low tunnel farming, trellis farming, mushroom farming, orchard farming, etc.Furthermore, Hindustan Zinc’s Samadhan program is not only inspiring farmers to serve a sustainable future but also helping the farmer community to develop themselves with updated functioning in the sector.
