Jaipur to Host Bird Festival 2025: Green People Society to Lead the Event

Bird Enthusiasts, Experts, and Students to Gather at Kanota Camp Resort on February 1

Udaipur, January 30: As part of Rajasthan’s ongoing Bird Festival series, the Green People Society (Jaipur Chapter) is set to organize the Jaipur Bird Festival-2025 on Saturday, February 1. The event will be held at Kanota Camp Resort near Jamdoli, bringing together 500 students, teachers, and bird lovers for a day filled with interactive activities.

Festival Convener, Retired IAS Vikram Singh, announced that the event will be organized in collaboration with the Forest Department, Tourism Department, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), RIICO, and WWF India.

Exciting Activities at Jaipur Bird Festival 2025

The festival will offer a variety of engaging activities for participants, including:

✔ Bird Watching Sessions Guided by renowned ornithologists, using spotting scopes and binoculars.
✔ Interactive Workshops Covering topics such as bird conservation, wetland preservation, and ecosystem awareness.
✔ Painting and Quiz Competitions Encouraging young minds to express their creativity and knowledge about birds.
✔ Stamp Exhibition on Birds Showcasing rare and iconic bird-themed postal stamps.
✔ Group Discussions on Avian Conservation Experts will discuss the impact of climate change on bird habitats.
✔ Training for Educators & NGOs Special Train-the-Trainer (ToT) workshops conducted by Bengaluru-based organization ‘Early Bird’ to empower teachers and conservationists.

Each registered student participant will receive a student kit, refreshments, a bird identification booklet, a DIY cardboard nest, and a festival cap.

Renowned Experts & Guests at Jaipur Bird Festival

The festival will see participation from some of India’s leading ornithologists and environmentalists, including:

  • MK Ranjit Singh (Gujarat)
  • Ravi Singh (WWF Chief)
  • Asad Rahmani (Bird Conservationist)
  • Rahul Bhatnagar (Chairman, Green People Society & NTCA Member)

These experts will share insights, interact with participants, and promote conservation efforts.

Wetlands Conference & Field Visit: Key Highlights

📅 February 1: Wetlands Workshop & Conference

  • Focus on wetland conservation and ecosystem management.
  • Participation from senior officials from the Forest & Environment Department, Rajasthan Pollution Control Board, Water Resources Department, Tourism Department, JDA, Jaipur Municipal Corporation, and banks.
  • WWF representatives, NGOs, and academic institutions to engage in panel discussions.
  • ToT training session on bird habitats and conservation efforts by Bengaluru’s ‘Early Bird’ initiative.

📅 February 2: World Wetlands Day Field Visit

  • 25-30 selected representatives will visit major wetland areas around Jaipur.
  • Proposed field visits include Barkheda-Chandlai-Muhana, Sambhar Salt Lake, Keoladeo National Park (Bharatpur), and Tal Chhapar (Churu).
