ISMT spurts on entering into Business Transfer agreement to sell 40 MW Captive Power Plant

ISMT is currently trading at Rs. 55.35, up by 1.80 points or 3.36% from its previous closing of Rs. 53.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 54.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 55.90 and Rs. 54.60 respectively. So far 21503 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘B’ stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 74.35 on 28-Dec-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 44.05 on 25-Jan-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 56.40 and Rs. 50.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1654.26 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.10% and 24.95% respectively.

ISMT has entered into a Business Transfer agreement, for sale of the 40 MW Captive Power Plant of the Company (CPP) on a slump sale basis.

The sale of CPP will strengthen the Balance Sheet/ financial position of the Company as CPP is non-operational and will also help reduce the annual operating cost that is incurred by the Company to keep CPP in working condition.

The company will received consideration from such sale/disposal is Rs 65.71 crore.

ISMT is predominantly engaged in the manufacturing of specialty alloy and bearing Steel.
