India-Bangladesh Test: India scores 278 runs for 6 wickets

Chattogram : At the end of the first day’s play of the first Test being played here against Bangladesh, India has scored 278 runs for 6 wickets. Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 82, while Cheteshwar Pujara scored an excellent 90.

After winning the toss in this match, India decided to bat first. Captain KL Rahul and Shubman Gill gave India a decent start. However, the pair could not go far and on a total score of 41, Gill became the victim of Taijul Islam after scoring 20 runs. After this, on a total score of 45, Khaled Ahmed bowled KL Rahul and gave a second blow to India.

Rahul scored 22 runs. After this, Virat Kohli, who came to bat, could not do anything special and Taijul became the second victim of Islam by scoring only 1 run.

On a total score of 112, Pant was bowled by Mehndi Hasan Miraj after scoring 46 runs. After this Shreyas Iyer and Pujara handled the Indian innings and took the team’s score beyond 250. Pujara and Iyer shared a 149-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

Taijul Islam broke this partnership by bowling Pujara. Pujara scored 90 runs. Axar Patel, who came in to bat after Pujara’s dismissal, scored 14 runs and was dismissed on the last ball of the day. He was dismissed LBW by Mehndi Hasan Miraj. Shreyas Iyer is unbeaten after scoring 82 runs. India has scored 278 runs for 6 wickets at the end of the day’s play.

Taijul Islam took 3 wickets, Mehandi Hasan Miraj took 2 wickets and Khaled Ahmed took 1 wicket from Bangladesh.
