I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar meets Bangladesh Information Minister in Dhaka

After the meeting he said that he discussed host of issues including cooperation in two film production namely Story of Liberation of Bangladesh and Bangabandhu with his Bangladeshi counterpart. Both the leaders also discussed the progress and impact of DD India broadcasted in Bangladesh  and Bangladesh TV being aired in India.

He also visited the Bangabandhu memorial museum in Dhaka and paid respects to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He said in a tweet that the visit to the memorial reminded him of the night of August 15, 1975 when the entire family of Bangabandhu was brutally murdered. He said that Bangabandhu will continue to inspire millions of youngsters.

Prakash Javadekar said that the two countries have deep rooted ties and cooperation in many fields. He invited Information Minister of Bangladesh to visit India to take forward the cooperation between the two countries.

On Wednesday, he will attend the 15th meeting of the Governing Council of South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP).
