Former Congress leaders join AAP in Delhi

New Delhi, April 4 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Secretary Pankaj Gupta on Monday inducted several former Congress leaders including ex-councillor Bhagveer Chaudhary, Babli Nagar, Advocate Manoj Gupta, Swati Gupta and Social Worker Vijay Gupta along with their supporters into the party. Welcoming the new members, Gupta said politicians across the party lines are joining AAP influenced by the Kejriwal model of government. “People from different regions and political parties from the whole country are joining AAP continuously after being influenced by the Kejriwal Model and work-oriented politics of AAP. In the same episode, today, several former Congress leaders are joining the party. I warmly welcome everyone into the Aam Aadmi Party,” he said. Bhagveer Chaudhary, who started his political journey in 1993, became a councillor in MCD from Congress in 2002. His wife Babli Nagar who also joined AAP today has held the position of m cipal councillor in the past from 2012 to 2017 Congress. Meanwhile, Advocate Manoj Gupta was till now working as General Secretary of Badarpur District of Delhi Pradesh Congress. His wife Swati Gupta was the candidate of Ward 82-S in the 2017 elections. “Aam Aadmi Party respects the people who understand their responsibility towards the society. We are very happy that such people are joining our party and helping us in making our campaign of working in the interest of the people successful,” Gupta added. Earlier today, the Former Police Commissioner of Bengaluru Bhaskar Rao also joined the AAP in Delhi today after resigning from the Indian Police Services last Friday. ASH SHK1917
