Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addresses 3rd India Energy Forum

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday assured investors that India will honor contractual commitments under various energy agreements.

While addressing the 3rd India Energy Forum in New Delhi, she said that government’s commitment towards renewable energy can been seen by the fact that under the leadership of Narendra Modi LPG cylinders were provided to 8 Crore families as promised.

Sitharaman said that the biggest challenge India facing today is the huge difference between the consumption and availability of the energy sources.

She also said that India Energy Forum would allow India to understand the challenges better and work towards the same.
