Udaipur : The anti corruption department at Chittorgarh has trapped two officers of the district excise department Bundi for accepting bribe from two complainants. District excise office Kamlesh Parmar was caught red handed taking bribe of 1.5lakh rupees while the ACB team also seized 1.36 lakh rupees in a raid at his home simultaneously. Meanwhile,another team arrested driver Rooplal for taking bribe of 1 lakh rupees on behalf of inspector Manisha Rajpurohit in lieu of clearing some pending payments due to a complainant.
” We had received complaints from one Bhagwat Singh resident of Bundi and another Himmat Singh from Singoli in Neemuch MadhyaPradesh. The complaints were received on May 11 and verified by us on tuesday” Chiranjilal Meena, additional SP-ACB Chittorgarh told Udaipur Kiran. Two teams were formed led by inspector Jaimal and Narendra Singh. The excise officer was demanding 3 lakh rupees by the complainant for relocating his licensed liquor shop to some other place. The complainant agreed to pay 2.5 lakh and 1.5 lakh rupees was decided to be paid on Wednesday, As Parmar received the bribe money, the ACB sleuths nabbed him. Another team arrested driver Rooplal who had taken money from the second complainant on behalf of his boss inspector Manisha Rajpurohit. The driver received 1 lakh cash as bribe, the woman too has been held, Meena said.
