CBI arrests two including a North MCD official in bribery case

New Delhi, April 20 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two people including an official of North Delhi M cipal Corporation in an alleged bribery case. Both, identified as Rahul Kumar, an Milch Tax Inspector posted at veterinary department, North MCD and Mahavir Singh, a private person, were arrested in a bribery case, said CBI spokesperson. A case was registered on complaint against the accused alleging therein that MTI had demanded an illegal bribe of Rs 5000 per month for not catching the cows of the complainant under his jurisdictional area, said CBI. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 from the complainant. Searches were being conducted at the premises of both the accused. The arrested accused will be produced before the Court in Delhi tomorrow. CM SHK2140
