Free Ration

Good news for ration card holders in Uttar Pradesh! Starting June 20, eligible card holders who have already collected their June ration can now also collect their ration for July. This time, the state government is also providing sugar at subsidized rates for Antyodaya card holders, in addition to the regular free ration.

Free Ration

According to DSO Vijay Pratap Singh, the distribution of July’s free ration officially began on June 20 and will continue until July 10. During this period, Antyodaya card holders will be entitled to receive 35 kg of free ration — which includes 14 kg of wheat and 21 kg of rice — along with 3 kg of sugar for three months.

Subsidized Sugar for Antyodaya Card Holders

Antyodaya card holders will need to pay only ₹54 for 3 kg of sugar, priced at ₹18 per kg. In contrast, eligible household card holders will receive 2 kg of wheat and 3 kg of rice per unit on their card.

If any card holder faces difficulties during the distribution process, they can register complaints by calling the toll-free helpline number 1800-1800-150.

1.15 Crore Beneficiaries in UP

Currently, over 1.15 crore ration card holders across Uttar Pradesh are directly benefiting from this scheme. To ensure greater transparency in the distribution process, the state government has introduced e-KYC and Aadhaar verification systems. Now, card holders can complete their e-KYC at any fair price shop across the country.

Technology-Driven Transparency

The implementation of e-POS (electronic Point of Sale) machines in the ration distribution system has brought unprecedented transparency. These digital tools ensure that food grains are delivered directly to genuine beneficiaries, effectively eliminating the role of middlemen and curbing corruption.

This technological innovation not only guarantees timely delivery of rations but also strengthens food security for economically weaker sections. The Yogi government aims to achieve 100% e-KYC coverage for all beneficiaries in the near future, further improving the efficiency and reliability of the distribution network.
