Beijing, February 11: Baseus has unveiled a new portable charging solution in China that addresses a common inconvenience: the need to carry both a wall charger and a power bank.
The EnerGeek GT 21 merges these two functionalities into one compact device. It features a 67W charger with integrated AC prongs and houses a 10,000mAh battery. This allows users to plug it directly into a wall outlet like a standard adapter or take it on the go as a power bank. A retractable USB-C cable, extending up to 80cm, is conveniently built into the device.
In addition to the integrated cable, the EnerGeek GT 21 includes a USB-C port and a USB-A port, enabling the charging of up to three devices simultaneously. However, power is distributed among the devices when all ports are in use. When functioning as a power bank with all outputs active, the built-in cable can deliver up to 45W, while the other two ports share a total of 15W.
A small digital display on the front provides users with battery percentage and output information. With a capacity of 10,000mAh, it can deliver at least one full charge for most modern smartphones under typical usage conditions. The device supports various fast-charging standards, including PD, PPS, AFC, UFCS, and SCP, ensuring broad compatibility.
The foldable prongs enhance portability, making it compact enough to replace both a wall charger and a power bank in a travel bag. This kind of consolidation can be particularly beneficial for frequent travelers.
Currently, the EnerGeek GT 21 is priced at CNY 399 (approximately $58) in China. While there is no information on international availability yet, Baseus generally expands its product offerings to other markets, so a broader launch is likely.
While not a groundbreaking innovation, the EnerGeek GT 21 presents a practical solution for those looking to minimize cables and chargers. If the build quality meets expectations, it could become a reliable choice for tech-savvy users.
