Ayodhya verdict reactions: Everyone accepts SC’s decision and calls for peace and harmony

In a tweet, Mr Shah appealed people of all communities and religions to accept the decision with ease and remain committed to peace and harmony and to the pledge of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.

He expressed confidence that the landmark judgment given by the Supreme Court will prove to be a milestone in itself. Amit Shah said, the decision will give further strength to the unity, integrity and great culture of India.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said, its a landmark judgement which should be accepted by all of us with humility. He appealed to the people to maintain peace and calm.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat has welcomed the Supreme Court verdict in Ayodhya case.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Dr Bhagwat said, the Supreme Court has delivered a historic judgement which should not be seen as anybody’s victory or loss. He said, people should now forget disputes of past and work together to build Ram temple.Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has welcomed the Supreme Court decision. In a tweet message, he said that the Court’s decision is welcome All should corporate for the unity and harmony in the country.  Yogi Adityanath said that the Uttar Pradesh Government is fully committed to maintaining peace, security and amicable atmosphere in the state.

In another tweet, he said it is a live demonstration of the fairness of the Indian legal system. 

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up across the state, with the deployment of Police and Central forces. Markets and shops are open as usual and people are seen busy in their day-to-day activities.

People have been asked not to post any inflammatory posts on social media.Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has welcomed Ayodhya verdict, saying it has brought joy and relief to people of both the communities.

Janata Dal (United) President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that everyone should welcome and respect the Ayodhya verdict by the Supreme Court.

Talking to reporters in Patna, Mr. Kumar said there should be no further dispute on this issue, that is an appeal to the people. He said that people should accept the unanimous decision of the Apex court and give it due respect.Congress Party has said, it respects the verdict of the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya case.

A statement issued by the Congress Working Committee also appealed all the parties concerned and to all communities to abide by the secular values and spirit of fraternity enshrined in our Constitution and to maintain peace and harmony.Sunni Central Waqf Board has welcomed the Supreme Court decision on the Ayodhya land dispute.

President of Sunni Central Waqf Board Jafar Faruqi told AIR that they welcome Supreme Court decision by heart.  He said that all should welcome the decision.All India Muslim Personal Law Board may file a review petition on the Supreme Court’s judgment on Ayodhya land dispute case. Talking to media, Secretary of the Board, Zafaryab Jilani said the decision will be taken after the legal team studies the judgement. He said, the Board is very dissatisfied over this judgement but added that it will abide by the court’s verdict.

He observed that some parts of the judgment are very important for the secular fabric of the country.Iqbal Ansari, one of the litigants in Ayodhya case said, he is happy that the Supreme Court has finally delivered a verdict. He said, he respects the judgement of the court.Varun Kumar Sinha, Lawyer of Hindu Mahasabha says, it is a historic judgement.

With this judgement, the Supreme Court has given the message of unity in diversity.Nirmohi Akhara Spokesman Kartik Chopra said Akhara is grateful that Supreme Court has given it adequate representation in the trust to be set up by the Centre to build and manage the Ram Temple.Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has welcomed the Supreme Court judgement on Ayodhya. He appealed to the people to remain calm and maintain peace.

Almost all the prominent political parties in Tamil Nadu have appealed all concerned to accept the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya. Chief Minister and AIADMK Joint Coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswamy, DMK President M K Stalin, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President K S Alagiri and several other leaders have issued statements saying the unanimous judgment of the Constitution Bench should be accepted by all in the spirit of harmony and peace in the country.

Supreme Court’s verdict in Ayodhya case is being welcomed by various political parties and people in Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis briefed Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on law and order situation in the state and on the steps taken by the government.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad, VHP, has said the Supreme Court’s judgment in the case of the disputed land in Ayodhya is a significant and decisive step towards the construction of a temple of Lord Ram.

In a statement issued in New Delhi today, VHP urged the Centre to take expeditious steps for early construction of a grand temple.Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi says the Supreme Court judgement on Ayodhya land dispute case should be welcomed and respected wholeheartedly by all. He said it is a collective responsibility to strengthen unity, social harmony and brotherhood in the country.

Talking  to media, Naqvi said the verdict should not be seen as a victory or defeat of anyone.Iqbal Ansari, a litigant in the Ayodhya land dispute case has welcomed the Supreme Court decision.

Expressing satisfaction at the verdict, he said it is a good thing that the matter is now resolved. He said all should respect and obey the judgment.
