Jaipur : As an Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) initiative on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the wives of Army personnel of Sapta Shakti Command showcased their skills in various fields of art & design at exhibitions organised at various locations of Sapta Shakti Command on Tuesday. Regional President South Western Command AWWA visited the exhibitions at Jaipur & Bathinda. At Jaipur the exhibition was organised at Sukriti & Surekh Art Galleries at Jawahar Kala Kendra on 08 Mar. Similar exhibitions were organised at Mirage Cinema at Hisar & Mittal Mall at Bathinda. A number of ladies, participated in the exhibition and showcased their skills in handicraft, macramé, paintings, organic products etc.
Taking advantage of frequent transfers and having witnessed various cultures and traditions, the Army wives have demonstrated a unique ability in producing a Kaleidoscope of Incredible India in their art form.
The exhibitions at all locations were witnessed by enthusiastic citizenry from all walks of lives who appreciated the effort and the phenominal skills of Army wives. The exhibition was also a source of inspiration for many and promoted Women Empowerment as well as motivated the artists to showcase their products through various digital platforms, promoting the Digital India Movement as well.
